Primary school and kindergarten Prežihovega Voranca Bistrica

Our school is a small school with kindergarten in Srednja Bistrica in the region Prekmurje, one of Slovenia’s socially and economically disadvantaged regions. We are providing primary education for 140 students from 6 to 14 years and kindergarten for 60 children from 1 to 6 years. There are 22 teachers and 10 educators. Our school participates in several local and national projects (Innovative pedagogics with the goal to implement IT into lessons, Financial Awareness etc.) and we have experience in cooperating with the school in international projects. We already participated in 2 Comenius projects (Countries and Stories, Medsebojni vplivi med človekom in naravo) and one Erasmus+ project (Seek and Find Nature) in the school and one Erasmus+ project in the kindergarten (Developing Social Competences of Children with Early Childhood Language Learning). Latter won the European Innovative Teaching Award for pre-primary education.
We are currently involved in two Erasmus+ projects, one in school: Making Culture Alive - Digital Espace Room with partners from Finland, Spain, Estonia, Hungary and Czech Republic (https://sites.google.com/view/d-escape-room-erasmus/home), and one in kindergarten: Small Researchers - Great Discoveries. We have partners from Netherlands, Latvia, Serbia, Greece and primary school OŠ Razkrižje. We are a well-equipped school with lots of expertise in IT and working with our local community and the community wider around us. In the previous Erasmus+ project, we started cooperation with institutions from outside school in relation to European values and the European Union. We hosted more round tables with members of National Parliament and European Parliament.
